I don't agree with downright everything in this video but I think it is true that Alien was about the wrong use of technology and AI, the growing power of corporations and how the Alien is a weird chimera between human, beast and technology. This is carried all the way to Alien Covenant, in which the evil AI, David, was responsible for creating the Xenomorphs:
Not Jesuits? Seriously lots of Christian symbolism in all of Ridley Scott's movies.
Yeah, the other obvious one is Prometheus. There's a lot of Christian symbolism in there. What the Jesuits are going to do with the Alien Hoax is claim the Aliens are demons and angélic entities. The Pope will ally himself with the "good" ones and they will work together to fight the evil ones. (They could claim the Jews are the evil Repitilians) This way they are going to fool a large part of the world population into following the Third Age Joachimite Catholic Church they will set up. The UFO and Alien hoax is going to completely destroy people's minds.
Ridley Scott tried to make his first film about the gunpowder plot, make it fictional where it succeeded, and it'd have been called "Jesuit". He couldn't get that funded so made the Duellists instead.
