Before we do a poll on your favourite A.I.'s, let's first compile a/some list/s to pick from, along with their pros, cons, features, and omissions.
I'll add the list with notes to http://Projex.Wiki.
I may finally start using some A.I. for various projects.
Last time I considered using A.I. (Mycroft.ai [Wikipedia]) was for developing my Bittersweet Seeds screenplay in 2018 before joining SaidIt. A different time, on many levels.
Oh wow. There is a lot. And is it worth breaking down the tens of models offered by each company?
notrack.ai and venice.ai are good ones, they are less censored than mainstream models. I found that notrack.ai is less censored than venice.
Also, list free AIs, not free demos or limited-access options that require you to buy tokens.
I recently discovered that chatgpt.com works over Tor (default model), so I'm just using that anonymously.
DDG AI chat was cool for anon use (https://duck.ai/) but models became very outdated over time. Okay, I looked at the list now and they added some: GPT-6 Luna, GPT-5.4 mini, Claude Haiku 4.5, Mistral Small 4, gpt-oss 120B, Gemma 4 31B, but aside from GPT-6 these ones are useless in late 2026 (UPD: Gemma 4 31B is also a few months old only, so not useless).
Gemma is ok as a local model. I use it more than anything else right now for local. But if you are already using a service where they can stage huge models, Gemma is not going to compare. Hard to describe, but it's the most mellow of the local models. Not always right, but one of the least annoying models ever.
If you want to avoid getting derailed by an argument with your computer, and don't mind double checking quite a bit, pretty ok.
Wikipedia's list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_large_language_models
Sticking to major names rather than diving into specific models, a few that are easy to miss are:
Those are all LLMs. If we are talking about AI models a little broader we need to list things like:
The categories of AI alone are numbered like sand.
